Many of the additional features to existing RX 9 modules are new modes that leave the previous versions and modes of those modules intact.
Izotope rx 9 update install#
If v.9 would fix it, this could be a reason for me to install it, otherwise v.8 will remain here. iZotope’s latest release is RX 9, which is not a brand new version as much as rather significant additions and improvements to several existing modules. iZotope Inc., Boston, MA (October 14, 2021) iZotope Inc., the experts in intelligent audio technology, has released RX 9, the latest update to the industry-standard tool for audio repair and enhancement, and incorporated it into version 6 of the RX Post Production Suite. Many years ago, I drew iZotope's attention to this flaw (I think it was in RX2 at that time) and they commented back to forward this to the developers, but seemingly those haven't been able to fix that during all the years up to v.8.

The flaw consists in the pre-roll for the preview being completely ignored whatever pre-roll time figure you set in the software options, the spectral editing preview plays from the beginning of the selection, i.e. Its that time of year when the clever people at iZotope refresh and update their impressive RX audio repair and restoration tool kit: its now reincarnated. Which is the following one: As iZotope over many years and many RX versions up to v.8 have never been able to make the preview function of the SpectralEditing work properly, I assume that this flaw is still present in v.9, too. RX is the award-winning audio repair suite.

This interpretation is one of the biggest updates released by iZotope.
